Investing in bedding represents a significant decision for many individuals, and the reluctance to allocate funds towards such an expenditure is understandable. The primary concern, of course, is the cost, with the secondary issue being the assurance that the investment is in high-quality bedding to prevent the feeling of financial waste. The plethora of options available for online purchases complicates the selection process. However, after careful consideration, I ultimately chose to acquire new Parachute bedding.
Fortunately, I have been utilizing the Parachute bedding for nearly two years now, and I am prepared to offer an objective review of my experience with it. The Parachute Duvet Cover Review
To commence this review of the Parachute bedding, I will begin with my initial purchase: the duvet cover. It was, in fact, an instant attraction – whether by sight or touch, or perhaps both. Upon unwrapping the package, it was evident that the duvet cover was exceptionally soft, a quality that I was eager to experience at night. Following its first wash and placement on the bed, the allure of the duvet cover was reaffirmed – the perfect relaxed crinkle linen appearance was achieved. It transformed the look of our bedroom from merely satisfactory to remarkably luxurious, and it also significantly enhanced the quality of my sleep. (Note: I exaggerate for effect; I have never experienced a better night's sleep.)
The duvet cover in fog is in the ideal gray tone. It features a design where the duvet is secured at the bottom by a row of buttons, which, to be honest, is not my preferred method, but it appears to be a common practice. All four corners of the duvet cover have ties for attaching the duvet insert to prevent movement – a feature I highly appreciate and believe should be standard in luxury bedding duvet covers.
The duvet cover for our standard king-sized bed is a perfect fit, albeit slightly oversized – a feature I particularly enjoy. Parachute's duvet covers are uniform in size for both kings and cali kings, which is advantageous for me as it provides an oversized feel – a characteristic that is rare to find. Undoubtedly, my initial impressions of the Parachute bedding, specifically the duvet cover, are overwhelmingly positive. I rate it a perfect 10 out of 10.
The Duvet Insert from Parachute Review
As previously outlined, the duvet covers are meticulously crafted for king/cali king sizes, necessitating an upgrade to the corresponding duvet insert. While a standard king duvet insert may technically fit (though it will undoubtedly be smaller), it would result in one side of the bed being devoid of any insert pouf. Conversely, the king-sized duvet insert from Parachute stands out for its substantial size, and I find it to be particularly commendable.
Nonetheless, I maintain the opinion that it could be marginally larger. Consider the effect of achieving that overly plush, pillow-like appearance with pillows; this can be replicated by utilizing an insert that is one size larger. It would be immensely advantageous if duvet inserts were extended to king sizes, enabling us to attain that desired plushness in our duvets! This review of Parachute bedding is not only of value to you but also presents an opportunity for me to share some innovative marketing strategies with Parachute. Just for the record, achieving a cloud-like appearance is still attainable.
Furthermore, I have chosen the down-alternative duvet insert, and it is without a doubt one of my favorites. It offers a texture and pouf that rivals that of traditional down, leaving me utterly captivated.
The Parachute Sheet Set Review
Upon receiving the sheets for the initial review, I was notably surprised by their lack of softness in comparison to the duvet cover. The duvet cover's superior softness significantly outshone that of the sheets. Initially, my inclination was to sleep adjacent to the duvet cover, leaving the sheets as a secondary consideration. However, I persevered, and after approximately six months and several washes, there was a discernible improvement in their softness. Nonetheless, this process was notably protracted.
Currently, I find myself fond of the sheets, though my spouse does not share my enthusiasm. He perceives them to generate excessive heat during sleep. While it is true that they do offer a slightly warmer sleeping environment, I personally relish the sensation of warmth and coziness during slumber. It is noted that linen is reputed for its cooling properties, yet I have not experienced this effect with these sheets or any other linen sheets I have used. It could be a matter of improper use, or perhaps it is a mere illusion.
Additionally, my spouse prefers sheets that fit tightly, a characteristic that the linen sheets do not meet. Consequently, for those who value a more relaxed, cozy, and luxurious feel, the linen sheets may be an appropriate choice. However, for individuals intending to iron their sheets daily, I would advise considering an alternative material.
In summary, I am exceedingly pleased with the parachute sheet set, duvet insert, and duvet cover. As a reviewer, it is imperative for me to express my full confidence in the quality of Parachute's offerings, and their customer service has been outstanding. Although I encountered a minor issue with my shipping, it was swiftly addressed via a single email. Therefore, for those who appreciate a cozy and relaxed linen ambiance, I believe that investing in parachute sheets, duvets, and inserts is a prudent decision.
