If you’ve tried to purchase cookware before, you know the process can be incredibly overwhelming. With so many options and several big names out there, it’s also easy to become skeptical when a “new” brand is trending. However, today we’re going to introduce one to you in this Carote cookware review.

Carote is not technically new. After all, they have been around since 1992. However, they only recently entered the American market, and over the past few years, Carote products have skyrocketed in popularity. In fact, they can boast a number two ranking for skillets on Amazon’s bestsellers list. So, we knew we had to see what the buzz was about. So, read on for our Carote cookware review.

Overall Carote Terra Granite Non-stick Cookware Set Review

The 10-piece Terra cookware set is a perfect start to building your kitchen arsenal. The varying sizes for each casserole and fry pan allow for easy cooking of any meal on the menu, whether you’re cooking sauces, soups, or meats.

The granite coating provides a non-stick surface that makes for easier cleaning and has quick and well-retained heat conduction. Better heat retention allows for shorter cook times, which is imperative when your stomach is growling and time is of the essence.

I also really enjoy the coloring of the set because it’s a nice break from the traditional black or steel options you normally see in stores. Just that color difference can help make cooking meals feel less like a chore and more like something to look forward to.

Overall Carote Essential Woody Non-stick Kitchen Cookware Set Review

If you take the 10-piece Terra cookware set and change the color, voila, you have the Essential Woody cookware set. The Essentially Woody set is black, which accentuates the granite coating, and the Bakelite handles are a light brown wood grain design. The overall look is a cross between rustic and sophisticated, which I think is more aesthetically pleasing than the Terra brown, but by a narrow margin.

It’s important to mention that in all Carote pans, the five layers of granite coating are triple food-grade reinforced layers, which makes them more scratch-resistant. Wood, plastic, and rubber utensils are still recommended when cooking with any cookware brand to prolong the life of your products, but granite is one of the best options for scratch resistance. Granite is also less prone to rusting than other coating materials like cast iron. I don’t know about you, but I like my scrambled eggs free of rust.

Again, the Essential Woody set features the same perks as the Terra set but in a different color. Whether you’re an experienced home chef or new to the kitchen, these will definitely enhance your cooking experience.

Carote Non-Stick Cookware Frying Pan Set Review

  • Non-stick pan surface
  • Works on gas, halogen, and ceramic stoves; induction compatible
  • Affordable price
  • Lightweight
  • It stacks well when you buy all three pieces

Overall Carote Frying Pan Set Review

The Carote Frying Pan Set comes with three pans (8-inch, 9.5-inch, and 12-inch) but can also be sold separately. Each frying pan is part of the Essentially Woody collection.

Of all cookware, I probably use a nonstick frying pan the most, and these are great for many different reasons. First, the pans individually are affordable. Additionally, they feature the same high-quality specs seen in other Carote products. Finally, the rapid heat technology paired with the non-stick coating makes cooking meals in less time, saving on gas (or electric depending on your stove) and stress when cleaning up. Personally, any pan that makes clean-up easier is preferred in my book. See our Carote Frying Pan Review for more details.

Overall Carote Non-stick Jumbo Saute Pan Review

This saute pan is a deep skillet measuring 11 inches, holding 4.5 quarts, and comes with a glass lid. It is part of the Essentially Woody collection.

If you have a big family or like to meal prep for the week, this pan is for you. The deep skillet can cook a larger volume of food than a regular frying pan. It’s the perfect choice for any cooking: frying, boiling, stewing, you name it. Once you get it, invite some friends over and make a big pot of something delicious. You can make a large volume of food and only have one pan to clean, so it’s a win/win.

History of Carote Cookware

Since the first factory opened in 1992, the Carote team has spent the past 30 years manufacturing products, cultivating their brand, and building a following. Starting in Italy, Carote made its way through Europe and China, eventually reaching American homes in 2018 via their shop on Amazon. Selling cookware in more than a dozen countries, Carote stands by its goal to bring Carote to wherever you are because “there is no language barrier to cooking.”

Materials Used

All the Carote cookware has a die-cast aluminum base coated with Swiss-imported natural granite stone material. The stone cookware creates a beautiful brown-gray finish that helps Carote stand out among so many look-alike brands.

Product lines

Carote cookware offers varying sizes of frying pans, covered saucepans, covered casserole and stockpots, and Dutch ovens.

There are three main product lines: Essential Woody, Terra, and their newest release, Bio Green.

Handles

All Carote products are made with Bakelite handles, a synthetic plastic material that keeps handles cool, so you don’t burn your hands or are in constant need of a potholder.

In addition, the ergonomic handles make handling cookware more comfortable and easier to maneuver during cooking.
